Logistic
Consulting Services (LCS) t/a LCS Atlantic was
established by Niel van Wyk in 2010 after the Soccer World
Cup, when he identified the tremendous need for better
service delivery in the Coach and Bus Hire / Charter
Industry.
Niel has been in the industry since 1996 when he was driving
tour buses while finishing his studies in BCom Transport
Economics at UNISA.
In
2002 he was appointed as Depot Manager at Translux,
an intercity bus company, where he managed the Cape Town
operation for four years.
From 2006 to 2007 he headed operations at Intercape Mainliner
and then decided to change his focus to the Tourism and
Events Industry,by accepting an appointment as Charter
Manager at iKapa Tours, a well-established Destination
Management Company based in Cape Town.
The
experience he gained through the 2010 World Cup, having
been responsible for multimillion rand transport contracts
involving a fleet of 200 buses and high profile clients
like Adidas and Match Events, amongst others, gave him the
confidence and capacity to establish Logistic Consulting
Services Bus Hire after the World Cup, with its focus
primarily on detailed service delivery.
The
other partner of the business is Hannelie van Wyk.
Apart from providing the support structure, she ensures
that marketing and communication to potential as well as
established clients are done in such a way that they feel
well appreciated and reassured that their expectations will
be met.
The combination of Niel's vast experience and Hannelie's
communication and marketing skills, results in a partnership
that provides a unique level of service that has not been
experienced in the industry thus far.
This can be clearly seen with what they have accomplished
in 2011, having secured a solid base of clients who always
come back for more of this unique charter management
service.
